i wore & we decorated: girlie for a southern baby shower

while i was home for our wedding shower – i also got to be home for a dear friend’s baby shower. between us 8 hostesses, i think it turned out fab! they went with a delicate pink and gray color scheme (which i loved) and accented everything with the baby girl’s monogram.

your’s truly was in charge of flowers – a pale pink and white assortment. since i was flying in, i wanted to deal with flowers i knew would be in great shape. i order hydrangeas, snap dragons, and roses from whole foods. i was able to make 5 arrangements for about $90 – not too bad!

in honor of our new baby gal – i went with a girlie pink and red j crew number, some punchy heels, and a matching arm stack:

the favors: ann, another hostess, made these cute little mint bags – every southern girl loves an ‘after-dinner mint’.

the decor: whitney, also made a onesie for each month and hung them on yarn – they looked adorable. inexpensive, but useable decor.

no southern shower is complete without tea sandwiches – which sara katherine cut by hand. niki skewered fruit, and kelli baked amazing cake pops that looked like flowers when clustered.

meg, the owner of the gorge house just moved in a month ago – it looks like a page right out of a restoration hardware! i’d say we had a great shower for a fab mommy-to-be.
